Memories
Memory of Vishnu: Hi Vishnu, I’m Shivani’s sister. Just wanted to wish you a happy heavenly birthday kiddo. While we can’t celebrate with you here on earth, I’m sure heaven has plenty of mimosas, margaritas, and any other drink of choice for you. You are loved and missed but never forgotten. – Sharanya
Memory of Vishnu: Happy Birthday Vishnu – we all miss you so much – Ryan Shafer
Memory of Vishnu: Happy Birthday Vishnu! Your beautiful, genuine smile will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing that gift with me. – Sahaja Pinnu
Memory of Vishnu: One of the first nights of rooming with Vishnu, we decided to go out and get dinner as roommates. Neither of us had Pancheros before, and although it is not much of a delicacy, we decided we would give it a try. It was pouring rain and to our disappointment, Panch was closed when we got there. We quickly laughed it off and decided to up a pizza from Joes. After changing clothes which were soaked all the way through, we watched some bizarre movie and talked about life for a few hours. I still think about this day a lot. – Max Crandell
I first met Vishnu fall of 2019 when we both joined MECC Consulting Group at the University of Michigan. My first thought was just how impressed I was because he was able to get into a consulting club his first semester in college; this was my third try. My awe of him only grew from there. We were placed on the same project and he was always going above and beyond what was asked; making the rest of us look bad, but that was never his intention. All he wanted was to bring out the best in himself and in everyone around him. I saw that all the time when I lived with him. He was constantly on 1-1 Zoom calls, whether it was coaching the consultants on his team or for the tutoring company. Everything he did was to help and impact others.
For example, last semester we participated in a case competition together. We learned a lot about the healthcare industry and how it was just generally behind on technology. His first thought was outside of the competition, how could he use his skills to create something that would make the industry easier to navigate for people. That was Vishnu, always thinking of others.
To go along with his kind and caring personality, Vishnu always just exuded joy. He was constantly smiling, and I would hear him laughing from the other side of the apartment. Because of COVID, there wasn’t a whole lot we could do, but one of the times I genuinely had fun was when I played cards with him. He was able to make such a simple night memorable with his personality. Going forward, I just hope I can treat people with the same individualized care that he did and make everyone’s day a little bit brighter.
Thank you, Vishnu, for being such an amazing person with the brightest, most unforgettable smile. Your care and love for others is truly unparalleled. It’s always been the little things: the way you would say “great job!” on every Zoom call or how you simply dropped everything over break to talk to me about startups. You’ve always had such a big, beautiful heart and soul. I hope you are at peace. I will never forget you.
Everything about Vishnu was special – his brilliance, grace, demeanor, and his pleasant smile. He was mature beyond his age. He accomplished so much and touched so many peoples’ lives at such a young age. But God’s plans work in mysterious ways, which us mere mortals can not comprehend. Vishnu is under the care of God now. He may not be here with us physically, but he will always live in our memories.
Dear Sharmila, Ramu, Veda The tragedy of our dear Vishu’s loss is hard to accept. The pain of the loss is immense. Vishnu was a beautiful child. He was a shining light. Never was a time I remember him without a calm and smiling face. Ever since he was a little boy, the opportunities I had to spend time with him are still clear in my memory; the little boy breaking boards in taekwondo, the young performer on stage, the budding scientist, the boy who was always willing and eager to help and volunteer, the bright student who excelled in TJ, the Eagle Scout. God chose to take him away from us, and I just cant explain why. I pray that with Gods grace you can muster all the strength you can, to cope with this unfair loss.

Its hard to find words to describe what Vishnu meant to me. He was truly one of a kind and I was constantly in awe of his charisma, his attitude, and his kindness. We would always have the most genuine and enjoyable conversations, whether it be talking about the latest TikTok trends, careers, friendships, relationships, and college life. Vishnu knew how to make me laugh until my stomach started to hurt and always knew the right thing to say when I was feeling down. He would reach out all the time to talk about the most random things, and my face always lit up when I saw a notification from him come up on my phone.
He was so kind, always helping everyone around him and making sure the people he worked with felt excited, comfortable, and included. Not only was Vishnu one of the most talented and accomplished people I have ever met, he was also humble and down to earth.
It’s hard to imagine life without Vishnu. I miss him every single day and hope to carry his love, kindness, and passion for helping others with me for the rest of my life. Thank you, Vishnu, for being the little brother I never had, and leaving an impact on me I’ll hold onto forever and ever.
I was a part of Vishnu’s Scout troop and I remember the philosophical debates we had over the campfire at many of our campouts. I remember the detailed advice he gave me on college applications and how much he helped me. Vishnu truly was a helpful, loyal, and kind soul. He positively impacted everyone around him and I will forever treasure his impact on me.
I am heartbroken to learn of Vishnu’s passing. He was just at my house before returning to college where we spoke about his time in Scouting and becoming an Eagle Scout. It has been a joy to watch him grow as a member of Troop 1983. Please know that I am here for you and that your family is in my prayers.

I’ve known Vishnu for almost my whole life. We carpooled to Nysmith and played cricket with all the other neighborhood kids. I remember driving Vishnu home from crew practices and chatting the whole ride back. He was kind, funny, intelligent… like a younger brother to me, even though two years makes me no wiser. I will always cherish his memory.
