“A life that touches others goes on forever”

May 24th marked Vishnu’s 21st birthday. This is the first year without him, he is always in our hearts and his giving nature will mark the path of our lives.To commemorate Vishnu’s 21st birthday we wanted to create a space where every kid who goes to school has a safe place to share, to connect and reflect.

Past two years of isolation severed the bonds that we as a society nurtured leaving many kids and families grieving. Kids felt lost, disconnected as they went back to school and colleges. This was especially prevalent in middle and elementary schools who went through year and half of online learning. We wanted to create a space for kids to bond with each other and reflect on the fact that they are very much loved, they are precious, and everyone needs a buddy to share.Through Vishnu’s foundation, we installed this beautiful “Buddy Bench” at Racheal Carson Middle school, Herndon, VA on May 26th. “Buddy Bench” is a space where kids can bond with their peers so no one will feel lonely and left behind.

We also distributed sweets and pens on May 24th at TJHSST – Vishnu’s high school to mark the day and welcome the freshman class of 2026. We thank Vishnu's UMich friends for sending flowers on his 21st birthday. Heartfelt thanks to all those who donated to Vishnu Murthy Foundation. You are making a difference in many lives through the good deeds.

As the inscription on the bench says “A life that touches others goes on forever” You will continue to inspire us in our hearts dear Vishnu.
