Our Vision

  • The Vishnu Murthy Foundation aims to bring the power of knowledge to young people across the world. Below are some of the main initiatives the foundation plans to take on.
  • Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology - Support volunteering programs for high school students to spread STEM awareness, which is something Vishnu was incredibly passionate about. Support programs like TJ Biocode Hackathon and Hack TJ.
  • Local Community - Donations to local organizations whose mission aligns with helping children in the community to feel included and well-supported. We plan to host fundraising events such as an annual 5K to support mental health awareness initiatives for teenagers, young adults, and families.
  • Giving Internationally - Funding the education of underprivileged children in India to help them break boundaries and achieve goals they would not be able to otherwise.

The Vishnu Murthy Foundation is founded on the values of empowerment, camaraderie, passion, compassion, and integrity.

  • Empowerment – Strengthen society with knowledge.
    • Vishnu founded TJSISPrep and Edu Avenues through which he empowered middle and high school kids in STEM Education. He volunteered many summers in county schools to teach underprivileged kids STEM concepts.

  • Camaraderie – Value every person, show a spirit of good nature and kinship
    • Vishnu valued and genuinely cared about all his friends and family. He went out of his way to help, coach and advise his peers and juniors. He could strike up a deep conversation with anyone and his caring nature brought him closer to everyone.

  • Passion – Work through any task big or small with passion and diligence.
    • Vishnu’s passion came through in whatever he did - be it academics, work or extracurricular activities. Vishnu was heralded as a groundbreaking project manager, employee, extern and student in various ventures he took part in.

  • Compassion – Help others with empathy and kindness
    • Vishnu believed in the saying “Service to humanity is a service to God”. He organized book and bake sales to collect money towards educating communities in the US and in India.

  • Integrity – Take pride in everything that is fair & honest and and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
    • Vishnu showed great integrity and ethics in all his work. He was selected as a judge and a referee for many of the tournaments in which he once took part in.
