The Vishnu Murthy Foundation was created to honor the life of Vishnu Murthy, our incredible son and student at the University of Michigan. The Vishnu Murthy Foundation develops scholarship programs and social impact initiatives in the Washington D.C. metro area, at the University of Michigan and in India. We hope to transform the lives of young adults who share Vishnu’s core values and dreams to make the world a better and brighter place.
Vishnu (/ˈvɪʃnʊ/; [ʋɪʂɳʊ]; Sanskrit: विष्णु, lit. ’the pervader’, Viṣṇu) in Hinduism is the supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. Our dear Vishnu embodied the same principles of protecting what was dear to him and changing the lives of hundreds of young people by educating, inspiring and empowering them.
